We are Hiring! Horticulture and Trail Maintenance Seasonal Position this Summer.

Love gardens and trails?

Spend the summer helping us maintain the gardens at Brookwood Point Preserve and the trails at our other Blueway properties in the Otsego Region.

We are looking to hire for a part-time seasonal position, 20 hrs. a week, from June through August. The primary responsibility of this position is caring for the historically and culturally significant gardens of Brookwood Point Preserve on the west shore of Otsego Lake. This will involve the maintenance of Brookwood’s approximate 2-acre formal gardens and general maintenance activities on the overall 22-acre property. The position will also assist with trail maintenance and habitat management of other OLT Blueway public access properties throughout Otsego County. In addition to routine maintenance of these properties, the position may also include working with staff members and volunteers, assisting with educational programs, and assistance with outreach & communication efforts.
