Save our Public-Access Preserves!

On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties will host its second year of “Mohawk Valley Gives,” a 24-hour community-wide giving day to benefit nonprofit organizations serving the Mohawk Valley region.

MATCH ALERT! Help us get $4,000

to keep our public properties open!

Mohawk Valley Gives Day is TOMORROW. Our first two challenges have already been matched and more are coming up. With only one day remaining, we invite you to help us take advantage of the last two $1,000 match offers we have on the table from generous Alison and Tim Lord and an anonymous giver.

How does it work? For each match, if we are able to fundraise $1,000 we will get another $1,000 from Alison and Tim Lord or the anonymous giver! That means if you donate $100, you're possibly actually giving $200! Unlock the full potential of your donations to help public conservation areas stay open to the public.

During last year’s giving day, the community came together and raised more than $630,000 in 24 hours from 1,700+ unique donors and over 2,750+ individual donations. More than 90 prizes were awarded to participating nonprofits with the generous support of Mohawk Valley Gives sponsors, as well as members of the Community Foundation Board of Trustees.

Thank you to our sponsor for this fundraiser!

Partners like Canoe & Kayak Rentals and Sales are critical to offering awesome public access experiences.
