Last night community members gathered at Templeton Hall in Cooperstown for Part 1 of a two part community visioning process on the future of Brookwood Point.
Hosted by Otsego Land Trust, the purpose of the meeting was to garner input from the community on possible activities and amenities for Brookwood.
Residents, local business people, and other stakeholders suggested numerous exciting ideas for OLT to use in preparing a masterplan for Brookwood Point.
Participants then voted on the proposed activities and amenities.
OLT Executive Director John Winter on the meeting: “Partnering with the community has been a pleasure, and we are happy that the community is excited about the future of Brookwood Point. We are looking forward to seeing the community come together to put plans on the map at our next meeting.”
OLT will tabulate the votes and reconvene participants on October 25 at 6:30 pm at Templeton Hall to announce the findings and create a design schematic for the activities and amenities that the community selected. All are welcome.
